Our Objective

Mahsi and Shiv pur block in Bahraich district is adjacent to Ghaghra and Saryu river. Approximately 25% of the land suffers from water submergence. Most of the farmers are marginal, yet there is sufficient dependence on agriculture. The marginal farmers still use bulls for ploughing the fields. 70% of the fuel consumption of the households is fulfilled by cow dung. The soil organic carbon content is 0.21 to 0.40%. Poor soil fertility.

Samman Vikas Samiti

Samman Vikas Samiti was established in September 1998 in Bahraich district keeping in mind social development. The organization was registered under 1860 Act on 18 September 1998 at Deputy Registrar Office, Faizabad. The organization started working with women, forming their self help groups. The group members were provided employments through micro enterprises. Simultaneously the organization started working with farmers interested in working in agriculture. Presently, the organizations is working with farmers clubs and SHGs 2 block in Baharaich district for securing livelihoods of the poor families in the rural areas. Samman Vikas Samiti is Non profit making organisation working for welfare of the society. From its inception, the organization had been in the field of women empowerment through its several educational and vocational training programmes/activities. The Society is facing problem to facilitate the poor community in remote area due to sources of fund.society District Bahraich is one of the most vulnerable Districts of the state which is facing flood problem. Only donation & Community contribution is main source of income of the society by its members 7 well wishers.The main focus of the Organization is to creat opportunity for poor community for which social mobilisation and activating of small groups is needed.Due to less source of income of the Organization targeted task is suffering.
